Job Summary:
The Construction QC Engineer III operates with limited supervision to coordinate construction execution, commissioning integration, and quality control for facility and equipment installation. This role ensures alignment between Japanese tool design and PECNA construction requirements while coordinating with contractors to deliver work safely, on schedule, and to defined quality standards. The position coordinates the commissioning readiness efforts, including prioritization of critical utilities, TAB (Testing, Adjustment, and Balancing), and construction-to-operations handover processes.
Essential Duties:
Functional Operations:
* Align Japanese tool design information with PECNA construction design information to ensure accurate implementation in the field
* Cooperate with construction contractors to control construction progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality execution
* Prioritize 1.5 connections and UTT supply in coordination with the commissioning team and plan optimal construction procedures
* Design and establish handover rules and acceptance criteria from construction contractors to PECNA facility operations Performance Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
* Ensure alignment between global (Japan-based) design standards and local construction and installation practices
* Independently analyze and resolve complex, multi-variable construction and commissioning challenges and promote continuous improvement through standardization and lessons learned Training and Team Support:
* Provide technical guidance to support the transition to locally driven teams Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:
* Coordinate closely with commissioning teams and make independent decisions within area of expertise to align construction sequencing, system readiness, and startup activities
* Develop relationships and communicate with engineers across disciplines and other Panasonic sites to facilitate sharing of best practices and technical knowledge
* Communicate project status, risks, and technical recommendations to management and cross-functional stakeholders Quality, Safety, Compliance, & Compliance:
* Promote the Testing, Adjustment, and Balancing (TAB) process and ensure evidence management for each dynamic equipment in accordance with required specifications
* Ensure construction and commissioning activities meet defined quality standards, performance requirements, and compliance expectations
* Identify and address risks related to construction quality, system performance, and handover readiness
Supervisory Responsibilities:
* May provide day-to-day technical direction and mentorship to engineers, contractors, and project team members
* No direct reports Travel Requirement:
