Overview
Join Panasonic Energy’s team in De Soto, Kansas as a Maintenance Technician – Level 3 (D‑Shift, 7 pm‑7 am). This role focuses on maintaining production equipment and machinery through preventative maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and basic repair under routine guidance while supporting TPM and machine ownership initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesKey duties include:
- Work closely with Operations teams to maintain equipment and follow established procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, tightening bolts, inspecting belts, and replacing consumables.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting, visual and audible inspections, and basic electrical/mechanical repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and other equipment under guidance.
- Maintain 6S workplace organization and support the development of standard work.
- Provide task‑level guidance to peers and support on‑the‑job training.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues promptly and communicate status clearly.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, including After Action Reviews.
- Comply with safety regulations, LOTO requirements, PPE use, and 6S standards.
- Support TPM and continuous improvement activities as directed.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant maintenance or technical work experience.
- Successful completion of Ramsay mechanical or electrical aptitude assessment.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform standard calculations.
- Working‑level knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Alignment with Panasonic’s core principles.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology or related field.
- Lean Manufacturing Certification or Yellow Belt.
- Journeyman Certification.
- PECNA‑approved technical training.
- Completion of PECNA Maintenance Apprenticeship Program.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- PLC training and experience.
- Self‑motivated, resilient, and able to perform under pressure.
- Sit: 10%

- Stand: 50%
- Lifting up to 35 lb. occasional; >35 lb. team‑lift only occasionally.
PPE required includes a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit with a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required.
