Machine Operator

A Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment used to produce paper, molded fiber, or plastic food packaging products while ensuring quality, safety, and production efficiency.

• Set up, operate, and monitor production machines according to work orders and production schedules.
• Perform machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting to maintain efficient operation.
• Inspect products to ensure they meet quality specifications and customer requirements.
• Monitor raw materials and replenish supplies as needed.
• Complete production reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety procedures, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
• Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Work with team members to achieve daily production and efficiency goals.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions and use measuring tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to safety and quality.
