Material Handler

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler to support shipping and outbound logistics operations on a night shift team in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. This role is critical in ensuring products are accurately staged, loaded, and shipped to customers on schedule. The successful candidate will complete 1–2 weeks of training on day shift before transitioning to a permanent rotating 12-hour night shift schedule and will regularly operate a stand-up electric forklift to move materials throughout the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a stand-up electric forklift to move materials safely and efficiently throughout the facility.
  • Load and unload trucks while following all safety protocols.
  • Stage, organize, and prepare outbound shipments to meet daily shipping schedules.
  • Verify shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy before shipments leave the facility.
  • Transport finished goods and materials between warehouse and production areas as needed.
  • Perform inventory transactions and material movements using company systems and tools.
  • Use RF scanners and basic computer systems to support picking, shipping, and inventory activities.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and promptly report any maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in all assigned areas.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to support shipping, receiving, and production needs.
  • Stand, walk, lift, and operate equipment for extended periods to meet operational demands.
Essential Skills
  • Previous experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling roles.
  • Proven ability to operate a stand-up electric forklift safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work a rotating 12-hour night shift schedule after completing day shift training.
  • Basic computer skills to perform shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure inventory accuracy and order correctness.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Reliability and consistency in attendance and performance.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Manufacturing or distribution center experience.
  • Experience with inventory control processes or ERP systems.
  • Experience using RF scanners for picking and inventory transactions.
  • Forklift certification or equivalent hands-on forklift experience.

Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse setting that includes active forklift traffic, shipping docks, and continuous material movement throughout the facility. You will spend most of the shift standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating equipment for extended periods. Work is performed on a rotating 12-hour night shift following an initial 1–2 week training period on day shift, and you will regularly use stand-up electric forklifts, RF scanners, and basic computer systems to complete your tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
