Sterilization TechnicianWave Dental Specialists – Dearborn Heights, MI
Full-Time | Alternating Saturdays Required
Wave Dental Specialists is a growing multi-specialty dental practice seeking an experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team.
This role requires prior experience working in a dental office setting
. Because we support multiple specialties, we are looking for someone who already understands dental instruments, clinical workflow, infection control, and the pace of a dental practice.
- Clean, disinfect, package, and sterilize dental instruments
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment
- Maintain sterilization logs and follow infection-control protocols
- Organize and stock instruments and supplies
- Assist with operatory turnover and instrument delivery
- Support Dental Assistants and clinical teams throughout the day
- Help across Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Periodontics, and other specialties as needed
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and organized sterilization area
- Previous dental office experience required
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant or Sterilization Technician in a dental practice strongly preferred
- Dental Assisting certificate or formal dental assisting training preferred
- Familiarity with dental instruments and terminology
- Knowledge of dental infection-control and sterilization procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ability to work alternating Saturdays required
Please note: Completion of a general sterile processing or central processing program alone, without hands-on dental office experience, does not meet the experience requirements for this position.

Education and Training- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one-year related experience and/or training or the equivalent of a combination of education and experience in the dental profession.
- Valid X-ray certificate.
- Current license if CDA, RDA, or EFDA (per state requirements).
- CPR & first aid certificate.
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
