Orthopedic Territory Development Representative

EDGE Surgical is seeking a highly motivated, field-based sales professional to drive adoption and utilization of our digital depth gauge technology across hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers within an assigned territory. This is a sales position focused on growing revenue, developing new accounts, supporting distributor partners, training hospital staff, and ensuring successful product adoption. The ideal candidate is comfortable in operating rooms and clinical environments, highly organized, coachable, and motivated by performance-based compensation.

We are looking for a representative to grow existing sales in a territory with much of the groundwork already being completed. This person will help service surgeon customers in the OR, grow currently approved accounts, and support education programs. This person will spend each day at a select group of accounts pulling the product into the OR for the surgeons and helping distributor partners grow their sales.

Ideally this candidate would be able to build a network on connections with both surgeons and distributors so that EDGE is standard in the workflow for each surgeon.

Compensation:
This position includes a base salary, uncapped commission opportunity, and stock equity. Candidates should understand that medical device sales is a commission driven career, and the posted base salary is not negotiable or subject to increase. Significant earning potential is tied directly to sales performance and territory growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive sales growth and product adoption across assigned hospitals and surgery centers.
• Partner with distributor sales teams to identify opportunities and increase utilization.
• Build relationships with surgeons, OR staff, sterile processing teams, and hospital decision-makers.
• Conduct product demonstrations, in-services, and field training.
• Support preference card additions and product integration into hospital workflows.
• Identify new accounts, utilization gaps, and barriers to adoption.
• Monitor inventory, product availability, and case readiness.
• Document account activity, opportunities, and follow-up in Salesforce.
• Provide case support and represent EDGE Surgical professionally in clinical environments.

Preferred Background &

Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree required.
• Ideally 6 months to 2 years of medical device sales experience, preferably within surgical or orthopedic sales.
• Candidates with more than 5 years of surgical medical device experience will not be considered for this position, as this role is designed for an earlier career sales professional.
• Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Self motivated, competitive, coachable, and comfortable working independently in a field based sales environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Must be comfortable working in operating rooms and being exposed to surgical procedures, blood, orthopedic trauma cases, and fluoroscopy equipment.
• Must meet all hospital credentialing, vaccination, HIPAA, and vendor compliance requirements. Including a 7-year background check.
