Robert Half's Full-Time Engagement Professional (FTEP) program in Metro Detroit is seeking an Accountant to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

+ Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and accruals.

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.

+ Participate in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management.

+ Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting regulations, and internal controls.

+ Assist auditors with documentation for annual and interim audits.

+ Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance accounting workflow and efficiency.

+ Perform additional duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Controller.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.

+ 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.

+ Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ High attention to detail and accuracy.

+ Knowledge of GAAP a plus.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- 1-3 years of experience in accounting with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books, Net Suite, Oracle, or SAP.

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and financial reporting processes.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks effectively.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with effective communication capabilities.
