Accounting Consultant

A great UHY client is seeking an Accounting Consultant to support the accounting team within a well-established and highly collaborative organization. This role will assist with key accounting functions, including intercompany accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger support, while serving as a valuable contributor during a critical year-end period.

The Accounting Consultant role is a hybrid position based in Dearborn, MI with 3–6 days per month in the office (increasing after summer months). This is a temporary opportunity expected to run through at least December 2026, with strong potential for extension or contract-to-hire. • Support general accounting functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with intercompany accounting, including foreign currency transactions
• Prepare and analyze financial data and reports
• Work within SAP (S/4 preferred) or similar ERP systems to manage financial information
• Utilize advanced Excel for reporting, analysis, and data management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accounting processes
• Assist with year-end close activities and reporting requirements
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• SAP S/4 experience strongly preferred; other large ERP experience will be considered
• Experience with intercompany accounting; foreign currency experience preferred
• Strong advanced Excel skills required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
