We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to support financial operations in Dearborn, Michigan. This position focuses on maintaining accurate customer account activity, applying payments, resolving billing concerns, and helping keep receivables current. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively both independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile customer payments and account activity, investigating variances and resolving outstanding differences in a timely manner.
• Monitor receivables aging and communicate with customers regarding overdue invoices to improve collection results.
• Address billing questions and work with internal and external contacts to correct account-related issues.
• Review information in customer portals to verify account details, compare records, and ensure balances are accurate.
• Contribute to month-end accounting activities by preparing receivable reconciliations and supporting close procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation for account activity, audit support, and financial recordkeeping.
• Prepare customer-related sales or spend reports and assist with credit application and credit check processes when needed.
• Support sales tax reporting, special accounting assignments, and provide backup assistance across the accounting team as business needs require.
