Dowhas an - education job opportunity available in Midland, MI
. This position is open to qualified and highly-committed college students enrolled in a fully accredited college or university located very close to the Midland Dow site. Unlike a short-term internship project outside of school terms, this particular role is a long-term, year-round, undergraduate student position –at least one full year in duration –_whilethe student is simultaneously taking classes toward an undergraduate degree.
This_ opportunity offers the student valuable professional work experience in a dynamic, multi-national corporation interfacing with colleagues and leaders in many different roles.
This program is designed for academically successful students who meet ALL of the specific jobandco-op program requirements listed below and who can both in school and in a professional work environment.
This position exists to provide administrative support for the Organo Silanes & Silicones (OSS) Plant within Michigan Operations.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support employee onboarding and related administrative activities
- Assist with coordinating meetings, interviews, events, and workplace resources
- Prepare routine reports and maintain process-related information
- Support audit preparation and inventory-related activities
- Maintain organized files, records, and documentation
- Complete additional administrative tasks and projects as assigned
- Collaborate with team members to support daily operations
Preferred Qualifications
- There is no required course of study for this position, but students pursuing business, project management, operations, or engineering majors may be the best fit for this position.
- Student must be able to deliver a quality work product, pay attention to details, prioritize tasks, and follow through on details to completion.
- Student must be efficient and productive and be able to keep up with deadlines committed to.
- Student should be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done, ask for clarity or additional instruction when needed, and be able to work independently as well as cooperatively with the team.
- Student should be flexible, cooperative and have a positive attitude.
- Accountability: Taking ownership of responsibilities and being answerable for outcomes and actions.
- Administrative Support: Effectively managing records, schedules, documentation, and routine administrative tasks.
- Detail-Oriented: Demonstrating precision and thoroughness in completing tasks and noticing small but important elements.
- Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with others to achieve shared goals through communication, support, and mutual respect.
- Adaptability: Remaining flexible and productive when priorities or workload demands change
- Must be 18 years of age or older
