Role Description

The Automotive Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Russ Milne Ford Inc in Macomb, MI. This role involves performing routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations, as well as diagnosing issues and completing automotive repairs. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting vehicles for safety and performance concerns, working with suspension and other mechanical systems, and documenting all services performed.

The technician will collaborate with service advisors and other team members to ensure timely, accurate repairs and provide clear information to customers. Maintaining a clean, safe work area and following all company and industry standards is essential.

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair across a variety of automotive systems.
  • Proficiency in performing Oil Changes and other routine service tasks.
  • Experience with Automotive Repair, including diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical issues.
  • Ability to inspect, service, and repair Suspension components and related systems.
  • Relevant automotive certifications or technical training (e.g., ASE) preferred.
  • Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic in a dealership or repair shop setting.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and service equipment safely and accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
