The Marina Operations Assistant Manager performs many key functions within our marina and rental operations. This position plays an important role in the logistics of boats in and out of storage and service, seasonal marina set‑up and takedown, and rentals throughout the busy peak summer season. Other opportunities and duties depend on skillsets but could involve sales, service, advertising/social media content creation, and more.

The role requires someone who enjoys the marine and boating environment, has a positive attitude, great work ethic, and works well with others in a fun, fast‑paced environment.

• Daily Operations
  • Supports the owner and key staff in daily rental and marina operations including gas dock, retail store, facility management, opening/closing, transporting boats by land or water, operating a tractor and forklift, detailing/cleaning boats and equipment. Plays a large part in our rental operations including boat, jet‑ski, water trampoline and paddle sports rentals.
• Customer Relations
  • Assists marina and rental customers as needed, providing high quality customer service with attention to detail, resolving customer requests/issues, prioritizing and scheduling as needed.
• Administrative Tasks
  • Assists with recordkeeping, inventory tracking, pickup/delivery scheduling, placing orders and more.
• Staff Leadership
  • Ability to supervise and train summer season staff, and be a team player.

  • Physical requirements:
    
    lift 50‑75 lbs, comfortable in and around water, competent swimmer.
  • Boating experience and knowledge is a huge plus.

• Other desirable duties/skill sets (not inclusive):
  • Sales – retail sales of boat, dock, watersports/marine goods, etc.
  • Service – light mechanical duties.
  • Graphic Design – artwork, apparel, print/advertising materials.
  • Social Media – video, photography, ads.
  • Handyperson – various marina building related projects.

• April through mid‑June: busy preparing storage customer boats for summer and setting up for the rental/boating season.
• Mid to late June through late August: extremely busy rental season.
• Early September through October and into November: rental season slows down and ramp up for storage/service and marina pack‑up season.
• Memorial Weekend through Labor Day weekend: open 7 days a week 9 am‑6:30 pm. Expect to work 5–6 days during this peak.
• Outside peak dates:
  Monday‑Friday 9 am‑5 pm. Winter may have flexible part‑time hours that can change as business grows.
