Project Manager - Tariff Analyst

In this position, the automotive industry is amid significant disruption and change with an increasingly complex global supply chain, enormous amounts of capital investment towards electrification, and a digital transformation of the way large enterprises do business. The Ford Supply Chain Organization has recently created a Project Management Office (PMO) to drive sense of urgency and disciplined execution of key projects, identify interdependencies, and connect within Supply Chain and enterprise-wide on broader initiatives, fostering learnings to enhance functional routines and impact.

• Project Planning & Execution – Aggregate and manage all requests for supplier tariff coverage, balancing the appropriate mix of cash payments and offset credits to ensure Ford pays the appropriate amounts. Lead the recovery of supplier payments via offset credit retroactive recovery initiatives.
• Contract Management & Strategy – Manage the end-to-end (E2E) contract cycle related to tariffs, ensuring all commercial agreements are executed and maintained. Proactively identify components requiring tariff coverage in new programs and work with PD and Procurement to align on financial and contractual strategy.
• Stakeholder Communication & Management – Serve as the primary point of contact between Supply Chain, PD, Finance, Operations, and Programs Teams regarding tariff coverage and contract status. Lead communications on project status, issues, and key risks to senior management and cross‑functional partners, fostering collaborative relationships; lead business‑case discussions and reviews for component resourcing and tariff mitigation impacts.
• Supply Chain Development – Drive process improvements in the tariff request and recovery workflow to enhance efficiency, transparency, and financial compliance across the enterprise.

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in cross‑functional, matrixed organizations (e.g., PMO, strategy & business operations, management consulting, corporate strategy, or Supply Chain).
• Proficiency using PowerPoint to create presentations and Excel for data analysis (e.g., pivot tables, lookups) that inform storytelling.
• Experience using Project Management tools and software (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Project).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Supplier‑related tariff experience.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, operations, or related fields.
• Customer‑centric mindset or prior experience in product management.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Alteryx, Ariba, SAP (helpful but not required).
• Master’s degree in business administration, supply chain, engineering, or related field.

• Salary grade 6: $72,480 – $121,440.
• Salary grade 7: $86,600 – $144,900.
• Salary grade 8: $99,100 – $166,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate skills and experience, with base salary set within the applicable range per job scope, responsibility, and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates commuting to a Ford hub may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
