The Assistant Director of Music for Camp and Operations will oversee planning and execution of activities for the Arts Camp and assist with the operational logistics for the Arts Academy. This role requires a collaborative approach and a strong background in youth music education. The Assistant Director will work closely with various campus offices to support camp recruitment, hire music staff, and ensure smooth operations for both the Camp and Academy.

Reporting to the Director of Music, this position is part of the Music Division’s Leadership Team, which is responsible for the artistic and operational success of the division.

Interlochen Arts Camp hosts around 3,500 students each summer, offering a wide range of arts education including music, theatre, and visual arts. Music programs are a significant part of the camp, with over 300 faculty and staff providing instruction across various ensembles and private lessons. The camp features more than 100 concerts and recitals annually. The Interlochen Arts Academy serves high school and post-graduate students, focusing on arts education and performance.

It has a strong music program with a distinguished faculty and offers a variety of majors in both classical and contemporary music.
