Ford’s Physical Interaction design team is charged with delivering the company’s vision across all three of Ford divisions Ford Blue, Ford Pro and Model-e, transforming the future of transportation. Our team is customer-obsessed, entrepreneurial, data-driven and is dedicated to delivering industry-leading customer experience for vehicle buyers and owners. You’ll have...

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, Transportation Design, or similar field of study or a combination of education and equivalent experience

• 1+ years’ industrial, transport, or product design experience; including experience with final design product execution.

• 1+ years of experience translating 2D to 3D and think three-dimensionally with a strong emphasis on proportions and a refined sense of form also required.

• A design portfolio (pdf) must be provided upon application.

Even better, you may have...

• Product design or interior design experience.

• Understanding of exterior/interior manufacturing process and materials.

• Passionate about automotive and mobility industry, global trends, innovation and customer needs

• Experience of working in or with creative cultures

• Experience of working in large, corporate environments is good but not a necessity.

• Ability to interpret customer needs and global trends into compelling design.

• Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic.

• Awareness of global automotive and consumer electronics to ensure Ford competes with the best in the industry.

• Demonstrated creative product/interior design perceptions and capability. A design portfolio (pdf) must be provided upon application.

• Collaborate with internal and external partners.

• Must have exceptional design intuition, strong problem-solving skills and a superior ability to visually communicate through sketches, and renderings.

• Familiarizes self and maintains interest with design trends within and across design professions and global cultures (automotive, fashion, product, architectural, etc.)

• Outstanding teamwork, leadership, visual, written, and verbal communication skills
