At Ford Motor Company, as a Digital Design Manager, you will spearhead a talented team of digital modelers and sculptors, driving the development of a wide array of concepts and design intent models in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. This position allows you to work in all phases of Design Development – from initial sketch to a production intent prototype. The Manager – Digital Sculpting reports to the Manager – Digital Design, and will recommend and implement training and development plans for subordinates.
Assist leadership in the proper and effective implementation of personnel programs, including performance reviews, salary planning and employee counseling. Your leadership will be key in ensuring the seamless integration of innovative design concepts with practical fabrication techniques, fostering creativity and efficiency within the team.
Creative background with knowledge of technical requirements for automotive design.
- Experience with interior and exterior design
- Proven record of results in concept delivery
- Experience and knowledge of surfacing techniques and software
- Knowledge of CAD software
- Understanding of the requirements for clay model development techniques
- Ability to work in a dynamic work environment with continuous change and a willingness to learn new skills
- Proficient at creative problem‑solving
- Ability to work independently and provide strong technical aesthetic judgment to lead team members
- Outstanding teamwork, leadership, visual, written, and verbal communication skills
- 5+ years working in Studio / Design environments
- Computer skills and software knowledge of Microsoft Office
- 3+ years direct experience with surfacing software
- College degree – Design or Engineering emphasis preferred
- Experience of working in or with creative cultures
- Experience of working in large, corporate environments
- Experience of managing multiple stakeholders across complex project

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
