Exterior Designer

Akkodis is seeking an Exterior Designer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating innovative exterior concepts and translating them into production-ready designs through sketches, digital models, and clay modeling.

Rate Range: $32/hour to $34/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Exterior Designer Job Responsibilities include:

• Create and develop exterior design concepts through sketches, renderings, and 3D digital models.
• Translate conceptual designs into production-ready solutions using clay modeling and design software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design intent with engineering and manufacturing requirements.
• Utilize tools like Alias, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality visualizations.
• Refine and iterate designs based on feedback to meet project goals and timelines.
• Support advanced production projects while ensuring innovation, aesthetic quality, and feasibility.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in automotive exterior design.
• Strong expertise in sketching, 3D modeling tools (Alias, Sketch Up), and Adobe Creative Suite with experience in clay model development.
• Proven ability to develop conceptual and production-ready exterior designs with strong creativity and collaboration skills in a studio environment.

Pay Details: $32.00 to $34.00 per hour
