Instructional Aide Opportunities – Flexible, Per Diem Roles in Dearborn, MI

Dynamic opportunities are available for compassionate professionals to serve as Instructional Aides supporting students on a 1:1 basis within school environments. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting students individually or in small groups as directed by educators and school staff
• Supporting academic participation, daily routines, and transitions
• Implementing behavior support plans and following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable
• Providing assistance with mobility, supervision, and personal care when needed
• Creating and maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning

Qualifications and requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 48 college credit hours or Paraprofessional Certification
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to pass TB test as required by district standards
• Capacity to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
• Current or obtainable clearances in compliance with school regulations

Preferred experience includes:

• Background in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Training or certification in CPI, PMT, or RBT considered a plus
• Reliable, patient, and a strong team-oriented approach
