Digital Training Instructor Job Status:
Full Time
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Digital Training Instructor uses skills obtained through experience and/or formal training to create and provide a safe learning environment designed to engage students in digital training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Implement digital instructional activities to youth
* Use technology to promote learning and creativity
* Develop and execute basic computer programming and/or photography lessons as part of the enrichment program
* Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
* Identify, select and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs
* Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures
* Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents and other professionals on a regular basis
* Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment
* Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers and community
* Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group and/or program classification
* Demonstrate gains in student performance
* Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines and honoring schedules
* Operate standard office equipment and use required software applications
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
* C++, Linux+, Database (Access), Java, HTML, SQL, Visual Basic, MS Visual Studio 10, Windows OS Skill in:
* Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications for program area and other applications, including Microsoft Office Ability to:
* Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives
* Clearly present material to students
* Incite enthusiasm and influence, motivate and persuade others to achieve desired outcomes
* Interpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes as appropriate
* Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
* Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
* Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
* Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
