Position DescriptionReimagine Education, LLC is seeking an innovative Secondary Teacher for Science to serve MIPS students in a synchronous and an asynchronous program taking courses in Science. This position has primary responsibilities of monitoring students' academic progress in Science and collaborating with other teachers to continue the development and documentation of the secondary MIPS Science curriculum. This person will have the ability to work well with other teachers, staff, students, and parents while handling multiple tasks.
This position will report directly to the MS/HS Principal.

- Effectively communicate with school administrators, teachers, other MIPS staff, parents and students using email, text messaging, phone, and video calls.
- Monitor and support asynchronous students taking Science courses
- Provide large and small group instruction online
- Provide large and small group instruction in person if needed
- Teach live lesson classes weekly, make asynchronous assignments for days that are not live lessons
- Teacher of Record for students in asynchronous Learning Management System
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the Michigan K-12 Standards for Science
- Develop and document MIPS Secondary Science curriculum
- Effectively and accurately implement Science curriculum
- Design and implement lesson plans that include interactive, purposeful assignments and activities according to students needs
- Constantly monitor student academic performance to help them stay on track and successfully complete all courses on time
- Appropriately modify curriculum, activities, and assignments when needed to meet individual student needs
