Art Adjunct Instructor

Responsibilities

Teach courses in Art based on instructor's qualifications. Evaluate and grade student class work, assignments, and papers. Prepare and deliver instructional materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts in-person and/or online. Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions. Compile, administer, and grade examinations. Participate in required reporting processes (e.g., grades and participation). Assist students in connecting to college resources.

• Master’s degree or higher in Art or an approved sub‑field, or a Master’s degree or higher in a different field with 18 graduate credits in Art for general education Art courses.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher and 5+ years of experience (2‑D, 3‑D, photo, etc.) or industry recognition or awards in that medium for Studio Art courses. Supporting documentation of experience is required.
• Eligible to work in the United States; no Visa support is provided.

Adjunct instructor positions are part-time. Teaching assignments vary by semester and enrollment, and there may be semesters with no available assignments.
