Adjunct Faculty - Teacher Education; Mathematics

JOB SUMMARY

The Department of Teacher Education invites applications for an adjunct faculty position teaching elementary mathematics methods for the  academic year. This part-time position becomes available in Fall 2026 for undergraduate in-person courses.

• Teach courses at the undergraduate level.
• Complete related grading and accreditation assessments.
• Collaborate to ensure consistency amongst sections of coursework.
• Use online learning management systems such as Canvas for grading.

• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Three years of successful classroom experience as a teacher within pre‑k to 6th grades.
• Experience and ability to positively interact with all members of the campus community.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodations.

• College‑level teaching experience and/or experience working as a math coach.
• Experience with curriculum alignment and assessment.
• Experience using Canvas as an online learning management system.

Duties are generally performed inside and not exposed to adverse conditions. All work associated with this role must be performed within the state of Michigan.
