We are seeking to establish a pool of Early Childhood Education teachers for permanent and fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies that may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2028. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Glen Huon Primary School community, located in Eaton, Western Australia, serves over 500 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. A clear moral purpose – Nurture Excellence and Empower Growth – guides our work, which is shaped by evidence‑informed teaching, instructional coaching, collaborative practice and a shared commitment to continuous improvement.

RoleWe are assembling a pool of highly effective Early Childhood Education teachers committed to delivering purposeful, responsive, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children.
Suitable candidates should have a strong understanding of early childhood development, effective classroom practice, and the importance of building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. They must commit to creating purposeful learning environments that support strong academic, social, and emotional outcomes for young learners.
Applicants should be prepared to work within established whole‑school approaches to teaching, learning, behaviour, and wellbeing, and to engage in professional learning, instructional coaching, feedback, and reflective practice as part of a culture focused on continual improvement. Collaboration, evidence‑based decision making, and a focus on student growth are essential.
Qualifications- Strong knowledge of early childhood development, pedagogy, and effective classroom practice
- The ability to design and deliver purposeful, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support strong outcomes for young learners
- A commitment to evidence‑informed teaching, responsive planning, and the use of assessment to inform practice
- A strong focus on developing oral language, early literacy, numeracy, and self‑regulation skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- A willingness to engage in instructional coaching, professional learning, and reflective practice
- A willingness to work collaboratively, engage in professional dialogue, and contribute to school improvement
- High expectations for student learning, behaviour, and engagement
- A commitment to professional growth through coaching, reflection, feedback, and ongoing improvement
- The ability to use student achievement information to monitor progress, inform teaching decisions, and improve outcomes

EligibilityTo work with us, you must:
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or possess a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment

Mobile permanent appointments are available for teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school. Eligible teachers may undertake a 3‑year mobility appointment with a right of return to their substantive position. At the end of the appointment, teachers may either return to their substantive role or transfer permanently to this school.
