Job Description: We are currently seeking committed Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Teachers for contracted positions throughout the  school year near the Walled Lake, MI area. These positions offer the chance to work within center-based programs, providing specialized instruction to students on the autism spectrum.

Key Details
  • Duration: Full  school year
  • Center-Based Programs with Inclusion Opportunities: Self-contained classrooms with ongoing efforts to enhance inclusion opportunities for students.
  • Maximum Caseload: 7 students, supported by paraprofessionals.
Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized instruction tailored to meet the academic, developmental, and functional needs of students on the autism spectrum.
  • Implement strategies aligned with Common Core Standards and assess students' progress using academic testing.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the community.
Requirements
  • BS or BA in Special Education with endorsement.
  • ASD Certification.
  • Proficiency in Common Core Standards and strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Competency in administering and interpreting academic testing.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Certification in CPI (or willingness to obtain and maintain yearly) and a commitment to training in applied behavior analysis.
