Communications Adjunct Instructor

Responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and supporting student success in assigned courses.

Adjunct instructor positions are part-time. Teaching assignments will vary from semester to semester and are based on enrollment. Therefore, there may be semesters where no assignments are available.

• Instruction: Teach assigned Communication courses in accordance with the approved syllabus and learning outcomes.
• Course Preparation: Develop lesson plans, assignments, and instructional materials aligned with departmental standards.
• Assessment: Evaluate and provide timely, constructive feedback on student work; maintain accurate grading records.
• Student Support: Respond to student communications, and refer students to campus support services when appropriate.
• Classroom Management: Foster an inclusive, respectful learning environment and enforce academic integrity and conduct policies.
• Administrative Responsibilities: Submit attendance, grades, and other required documentation by established deadlines.
• Compliance: Adhere to institutional policies, accreditation standards, and applicable federal/state regulations.
• Participate in limited departmental meetings or professional development activities as requested.

Master degree in Communication or subfield; or a master's degree in another discipline with 9 graduate hours in Communication, or a closely related discipline.
