Special Education Teacher

Moderate Cognitive Impairment Special Education Teacher needed. Caseload includes 8-10 students. Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals. Provide differentiated instruction based on individual learning needs. Collect and document progress monitoring data. Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and families. Maintain compliance with Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and district special education requirements. Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.

Experience:

Valid Michigan Special Education certification

Certifications:

Cognitive Impairment endorsement required Must-Have:
Previous experience working with students with cognitive impairments preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
