- Instruct students with special needs using alternate achievement standards focusing on functional and independence in addition to academics. In addition, pushing support into the general education classroom in order to meet students' varying needs.
- Collaborate with other teachers or administrators to develop, evaluate, or revise school support services.
- Confer with other staff members to plan or schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved alternative curricula.
- Confer with parents, administrators, social workers, or other professionals to develop individual educational plans (IEPs) for students' educational, functional, and social development.
- Special Education K-12 Certification with one disability endorsement
- Experience in the secondary school setting preferred
