Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Switch Component Design and Release Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI
. You will design, develop, and release switch components for automotive applications while ensuring compliance with customer expectations.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $45/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, software, and styling to deliver integrated solutions.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, including supplier coordination and negotiation to meet program objectives.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new switch designs and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Support testing and validation activities to confirm performance and reliability of switch components throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and documentation for design and release processes, acting as a subject matter expert for switch systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering (master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in design and release engineering for electromechanical components.
- Hands-on experience in developing switches or electrical/electronic components for automotive applications.
- Strong ability to manage cross-functional projects and supplier coordination, ensuring compliance with customer and OEM standards.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
