Overview
The ADAS Campaign Prevent Engineer is responsible for the technical oversight and quality assurance of the entire ADAS ecosystem. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of how ADAS Hardware, Software, Features, and Systems interact within the vehicle architecture. Working under the guidance of a supervisor, you will drive campaign prevention awareness and conduct rigorous reviews across various design gateways to ensure robust system performance.
A core requirement of this position is frequent travel to Ford assembly plants to perform "Fresh Eyes Reviews" (FER) and Line Walks. By conducting physical, process, and system audits on the shop floor, you will bridge the gap between virtual development and physical production. This role is essential for verifying that the complex integration of hardware and software meets all quality standards during every build phase.
QualificationsYou'll have...
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Control Systems.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in ADAS, with a balanced technical background across Hardware, Software, Features, and Systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of FMVSS requirements as they relate to ADAS systems.
- Tools: Experience with GPDS tools (FEDE, AIMS, Jira) and proficiency in Microsoft Office/Ford SharePoint.
- Travel Readiness: Ability and willingness to travel frequently to various Ford assembly plants for on-site reviews and audits.
- Advanced
Education:
M.S. in Electrical, Controls, Computer, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering. - Quality Systems: Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Processes (FMA, Six Sigma, etc.) and their application to complex hardware-software systems.
- Analytical
Skills:
Ability to analyze system-level data and identify potential failure modes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. - Professional Attributes: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, provide a clear vision for success, and adapt to a dynamic, cross-functional plant environment.
