About the Role
We're seeking a Product Engineer to support the development, testing, and launch of Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) hardware, software, and system components. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead technical reviews, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive issue resolution from design through launch.
What You'll Do
- Support development of new TPMS hardware, software, and systems.
- Take ownership of assigned components, requirements, and deliverables.
- Lead internal and supplier design reviews and support documentation development.
- Ensure compliance with FMVSS, ECE, RF certification, homologation, and other industry regulations.
- Optimize receiver module packaging to improve RF performance.
- Create and execute Design Verification Plans (DVP) using bench setups, HIL, and vehicle-level testing.
- Track issues and progress in FEDE and JIRA.
- Support program launches by resolving technical issues and presenting status updates to leadership.
- Collaborate with Chassis and Vehicle Operations teams to ensure seamless integration and assembly processes.
- Travel to supplier sites and assembly plants as needed for reviews, APQP activities, and PPAP approvals.
- Additional tasks may include: FEDE BOM updates, Netcom Message List updates, ARXML, Device Transmittal, VSCS, ED&T/Mountain Charts, and ESOW support.
What You Bring
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in automotive electrical systems (hardware, software, and systems).
- Experience with design verification, testing, and application-level evaluation.
- Ability to develop DVPs for TPMS using bench, HIL, and vehicle testing environments.
- Strong understanding of automotive regulatory requirements (FMVSS, ECE, RF certification).
- Experience documenting and reviewing quality and compliance deliverables.
- Proficiency tracking issues in FEDE and JIRA.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
- Experience with CANalyzer or similar vehicle network tools.
- Experience with wireless technology development or testing.
- Experience verifying and releasing configurable parameters (Netcom, ARXML, etc.).
