In this positionThe Manufacturing Engineering Transformation team is responsible for leading the digital manufacturing strategy and optimizing the software ecosystem used to deliver programs and manage change at the plant. Acting as the bridge between engineering requirements and software development, we oversee the full product lifecycle—from requirements gathering and solution alignment to development prioritization. We validate these planning tools through Stakeholder Demos, UAT, and Concept Ready pilots, ultimately managing deployment and training to ensure successful adoption by the manufacturing workforce.
As a Manufacturing Systems Solutions Engineer, you will operationalize this strategy, delivering solutions that advance Ford’s digital manufacturing capabilities.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in an advanced Manufacturing Engineering environment (automotive, aerospace, or heavy industry preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in creating / maintaining Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM), Bill of Process (BoP), and Bill of Equipment (BoE)
- Experience with Siemens Teamcenter
- Experience with formal product and process Change Management
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong Project Management skills and results‑oriented mindset
- Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Experience with PLM tools (e.g., Team Center, NX, etc)
- Experience leveraging manufacturing engineering tools for tasks such as human and/or machine time studies, process simulations, and assembly line balancing
- Experience with requirements assessments, issue management, PFMEA / Control Plans
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira)
- Knowledge in the following Ford software systems: FEDE, WERS, GSPAS/APT

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $72,480–121,440.
This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480–141,360.
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720–162,120.
