Advantage Technical is partnering with a leading global automotive OEM to place a Quality/Manufacturing Engineer in Dearborn, MI. If you're a hands‑on quality or manufacturing professional with a sharp eye for supplier performance and a track record in automotive launches, this is a high‑impact role on the plant floor that matters.
Job Duties (What You’ll Do!):- Lead APQP and PPAP execution aligned with program timelines
- Serve as the on‑site technical lead for troubleshooting, containment, and corrective action
- Drive supplier compliance with quality, delivery, capacity, and warranty standards
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams and supplier leadership
- Conduct manufacturing feasibility assessments to support launch readiness
- Analyze supplier performance data to support sourcing and quality decisions
- Ensure zero production disruptions due to supplier‑related issues
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 3–5+ years in advanced manufacturing or quality within interior commodities (seats, IP, consoles, door panels, headliners, restraints)
- Hands‑on experience with stamping, welding, molding, or automated assembly processes
- Proven PPAP, APQP, and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to travel to supplier sites up to 70%
- Six Sigma or Lean certification a plus; Q1 knowledge preferred
