Position: HIL  Engineer

We are looking for a skilled HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Test Engineer with experience in automotive ECU validation and automated testing. The candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining HIL test setups and automation frameworks for embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute HIL test cases for automotive ECUs.
  • Work on dSPACE/Vector based HIL systems and bench setups.
  • Perform manual and automated testing for vehicle functions.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts using Python, CAPL, or MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Analyze test results, debug issues, and prepare validation reports.
  • Integrate ECUs, sensors, actuators, and communication networks such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
  • Support requirement analysis and traceability using tools like DOORS or Test Rail.
  • Collaborate with software, system, and validation teams for issue resolution.
  • Participate in regression testing and continuous integration activities.
  • Ensure testing compliance with automotive standards and processes.
Required Skills
  • Strong experience in HIL testing for automotive systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with dSPACE, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, or NI systems.
  • Knowledge of CAN, LIN, UDS diagnostics, and automotive communication protocols.
  • Experience in test automation using Python, CAPL, or MATLAB.
  • Understanding of embedded systems and ECU functionality.
  • Familiarity with Test Rail, Jira, or ALM tools.
  • Good debugging and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Powertrain, Body Control, ADAS, or Battery Management Systems is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Experience with ASPICE or automotive functional safety standards is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and automated validation pipelines is a plus.
