In this positionWe are looking for an experienced hardware development engineer to design eDrive motor components, stator, and rotor assemblies to package in transmission and motor housing. As a team player, you will partner with suppliers, design and release engineers, and transmission to design and validate eMotor hardware components and assemblies.
What you’ll do- Develop eDrive motor components and assembly design, models (3D) and drawings (2D) that are capable of being produced
- Interface with Basic Design, D&R engineers, and suppliers to ensure design is compatible with all requirements
- Develop GD&T and perform axial and radial tolerance stack‑up analysis.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in hardware design and development using CATIA V5
- 3+ years of experience in automotive industry
- Master’s of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in hardware design and development using CATIA V5
- 5+ years of experience in automotive industry
- Proficient in powertrain component design
- Expert level user of CATIA V5
- Experience in Team Center Engineering
- Experience with transmission packaging interface
- Demonstrated experience working with cross‑functional teams and driving product development issues to resolution
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, self‑motivated, eager to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
