  • System Design & Integration:
Lead the definition and design of new emissions concepts, integrating hardware, controls, and packaging across the engine, transmission, generator, and aftertreatment systems.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
Coordinate subsystems and lead technical trade-off discussions across different engineering domains to achieve an optimized system-level solution.
  • Project Management:
Drive project milestones and workstream coordination using the Global Technical Development System (GTDS) to ensure timely delivery of project goals.
  • Quality & Systems Engineering:
Develop and maintain core systems engineering and quality documentation, including Boundary Diagrams, P-Diagrams, and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
  • Requirements Management:
Define attribute targets and cascade system/subsystem requirements, functions, and use cases to ensure compliance throughout the vehicle's full useful life.
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Systems Engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience in propulsion or emissions system design and integration.
  • 3+ years of experience with Systems Engineering principles and quality tools (e.g., DFMEA, Boundary Diagrams, P-Diagrams).
  • 1+ years of project management experience.
  • Chemical Engineering, Quality Control, Electrical Engineering, System Integration, Project Management, Mechanical Engineering.
  • Chemical Engineering – Ability to understand and communicate with team regarding exhaust gas chemical reactions.
  • Quality Control – Statistical methods for data analysis.
  • Electrical Engineering – Ability to understand electrical systems and needs for various engine control devices. Understanding of power distribution dn architecture, including 48v system concepts.
  • System Integration – Higer level understanding of vehicle control system and electrical systems and ability to consider balances and tradeoffs for system level attributes and balancing the needs to for the entire vehicle in the context of emissions control.
  • Project Management – Manage multiyear projects for vehicle system design and testing including managing parts procurement, test resource management and timing, and regular status reporting to management.
  • Mechanical Engineering - Understanding of how vehicle engine and powertrains function, from conventional ICE to various hybrid configurations.
