What You'll DoLead the development and integration of Functional Safety work products on vehicle program applications for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features like Blue Cruise and Pro‑Trailer Hitch Assist.
Develop and maintain Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARA), Functional Safety Concepts (FSC), and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC).
Produce safety analysis (DFMEA, FTA, DFA, per ISO 26262).
Support the planning of Safety Verification & Validation activities at different levels of system abstraction.
Support the creation of test cases (DVP), their execution and evaluation of the results.
Contribute to safety audits and assessments.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with systems, hardware, software, and V&V stakeholders to deliver a safe product with a comprehensive safety case.
You'll HaveBachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
5 years of experience in Functional Safety.
5 years of experience with products in mass production.
2 years of experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering.
Even Better, You May HaveMaster’s Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
10 years of experience in Functional Safety.
5+ years of experience with automotive product development.
2+ years of experience with SysML / Magic Draw.
2+ years of experience with the development of automotive sensors (e.g., cameras, radars) and ECUs.
2+ years of experience developing and conducting laboratory and vehicle tests, gathering and analyzing data.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $97,.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
