As part of our Manufacturing team, you'll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles we're known for. In our plants around the world, we're constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. Deliver new and retooled manufacturing systems for producing Power Electronics components. This role is part of the Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) team.
Lead Manufacturing engineer responsible for delivering electrified powertrain component manufacturing systems.
What you'll do...
* Lead the specification, procurement, build, installation and launch of Powertrain Production equipment related to the manufacturing of powertrain power electronics components.
* Develop and deliver standardized processes and equipment in line with global powertrain strategies.
* Develop and implement manufacturing process associated with power electronics manufacturing including sintering vacuum reflow soldering, selective wave soldering and laser welding.
* Support all test processes (e.g. leak test, in-process test, final test etc.).
* Lead collaboration with Product Engineering to achieve a working Product design that meets Manufacturing Design Specifications with feasible expectations in the Engineering Specification (ES).
* Support the Prototype Engineering/Pilot Manufacturing to determine feasible manufacturing solutions and methodology during the early stages of new programs.
* Troubleshoot production issues impacting FTT and warranty, determine corrective actions to the part, assembly processes and/or test equipment.
* Travel to suppliers facilities and Ford Manufacturing plants will be required (10-30%)
