The Vehicle Thermal Systems group is responsible for developing new technology, both hardware and software strategies and implementing it into all Ford Motor Company vehicles. This team also assesses vehicle heating, cooling, battery cooling and defrost performance against global targets for maximum performance and calibrates the system to provide cabin comfort. The teams use various CAE methods and physical testing to quantify and qualify vehicle level thermal and efficiency performance against targets.
Core System Manager - Global Thermal Systems
In this position...
* Leading teams with members signing off programs utilizing CAE and physical test methods for ICE/Hybrid/BEV Products.
* Drive teams to develop, correlate and apply new CAE methods to support product development and virtual test sign-off.
* New technology development, both strategy and hardware.
* Ensure thermal system components align with new electrical system architectures.
What you'll do...
* Interface with teams throughout the company to enable the optimum attribute trade-offs.
* Interface with application and subsystem teams to support overall vehicle sign-off.
* Attestation for defrost performance and other regulatory requirements.
* Support warranty reduction analysis.
* Support TVM / Cost Reduction while maintaining quality.
