Subframes​/Structures Design Release Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Subframes/Structures Design Release Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate is responsible for leading subframe structure design reviews, ensuring robust engineering solutions that meet vehicle performance and quality requirements.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Subframes/Structures Design Release Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead design and release of subframe structures, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and vehicle performance requirements.
• Conduct design reviews and resolve durability, assembly, and functional issues across development and launch phases.
• Apply DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans to ensure robust design and failure mode prevention.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet vehicle attributes such as crash, durability, packaging, and thermal requirements.
• Drive cost reduction, warranty improvement, and benchmarking initiatives for continuous product enhancement.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams, facilitating knowledge sharing and technical best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in design and release engineering for automotive structures or subframes.
• Strong expertise in DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, and design validation to ensure robust and failure-free product development.
• Proven ability to lead design reviews, resolve durability and functional issues, and deliver cost optimization and performance improvements.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
