You will manage controls deliverables from simultaneous engineering through program launch, ensuring the implementation of standard software and hardware architectures.

Join Ford's Manufacturing team as an Automation and controls engineer supporting the launch of Powertrain and Vehicle programs. In this high-impact role, you will manage controls deliverables from simultaneous engineering through program launch, ensuring the implementation of standard software and hardware architectures. You will collaborate with Tier I suppliers, troubleshoot complex automation (PLC/CNC/Robotics), and drive continuous improvement across our global facilities.

This role requires a technical degree, 5+ years of manufacturing experience, and the flexibility for significant travel (up to 30%) during peak program launches.

What you'll do...

* Lead the assembly and machining controls engineering deliverables for Powertrain and Vehicle programs, from simultaneous engineering through program launch for all Global sites.

* Implement and apply standard software and hardware controls architectures across all programs/plants, following the Ford controls specifications.

* Ensure the identification and capture of lessons learned along with their application to new programs, as well as the impact to existing strategies and standards.

* Lead simultaneous engineering meetings with Tier I suppliers to orchestrate controls program reviews with all interested parties.

* Participate in management program reviews and represent the controls organization in commodity discussions.

* Drive the controls organization to resolve issues, including feasibility, timing, cost, and workload.

* Handle current scope program responsibilities.

* Deliver new model program work for various Powertrain and vehicle programs supporting and working at any Ford manufacturing facility.

* Travel up to 30% during peak program times.

* Work off shift, as the need arises, during peak program install and launch times

* Support plant shutdown activities for retooled and new equipment
