In this position...

Lead the specification, procurement, build, installation and launch of Powertrain Production equipment related to package attach / reflow soldering of powertrain power electronics components.

Power Electronics Package Attach Engineer

What you'll do...

* Lead the specification, procurement, build, installation and launch of Powertrain Production equipment related to package attach / reflow soldering of powertrain power electronics components.

* Develop and deliver standardized processes and equipment in line with global powertrain strategies.

* Develop and implement manufacturing process associated with package attach / reflow soldering of power electronics.

* Support all inspection processes (cross sectioning, pull tests, etc.)

* Collaborate with Product Engineering to achieve a working Product design that meets Manufacturing Design Specifications for package attach / reflow soldering with feasible expectations in the Engineering Specification (ES).

* Support the Prototype Engineering/Pilot Manufacturing process to determine feasible manufacturing solutions and methodology during the early stages of new programs.

* Troubleshoot production issues impacting FTT and warranty, determine corrective actions to the part, processes and/or equipment.

* Travel to suppliers facilities and Ford Manufacturing plants will be required (10-30%)
