Test Technician – Chassis Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) (Temporary)

Location: Dearborn, MI (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)

Pay: $22.77+ per hour

We are seeking a hands‑on Test Technician – Chassis HiL to support advanced automotive testing and development. This temporary role is ideal for candidates with experience in prototyping, electrical wiring, and test stand assembly in engineering or automotive environments.

• Build, assemble, and maintain hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HiL) test stands for chassis components
• Perform wiring harness assembly and integrate electrical systems using schematics
• Fabricate brackets, fixtures, and components through basic machining and prototyping
• Support vehicle component assembly in non‑vehicle test environments
• Troubleshoot and maintain testing hardware and interfaces, including Arduino systems
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams

• Associate degree in Automotive Technology or Engineering Technology required
• 1–3 years of experience in wiring harness builds, prototyping, or test equipment setup
• Strong skills in electrical wiring, fabrication, and mechanical assembly
• Ability to read wiring schematics and technical documentation
• Experience in HiL environments or automotive testing preferred
• ASE certifications a plus
