Job title:
Senior Engineer – Interior Components & Systems
Location:
Arizona or Michigan (Onsite – 100%) Duration:
Long Term Contract Mandatory Skills to Highlight
- 4+ years of experience in Interior Components and Systems Development
- (hard trim, soft trim, instrument panel (IP), door trims, consoles, headliners, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of automotive interior components and systems, including:
- Industry benchmarks
- Creating and defining technical product specifications
- Establishing and managing development timelines
- Supporting accelerated development toward SOP (Start of Production)
- Hands-on experience with CAD tools for:
- DFM (Design for Manufacturing) studies
- CATIA V5/V6 preferred
- Vehicle / Product launch experience
- Solid understanding of:
- Manufacturing processes (especially injection molding)
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Structural performance, ergonomics, and safety requirements
- Experience working with suppliers / vendors to ensure:
- Technical feasibility
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams (design, engineering, marketing)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (mandatory)
- Location requirement:
Must be based in Arizona or Michigan
