Controls Implementation Engineer supporting FAE & PTME programs - 64513
What you'll do...
* Lead the assembly and machining controls engineering deliverables for VOME & PTO programs, from simultaneous engineering through program launch for all Global VOME & PTO sites.
* Implement and apply standard software and hardware controls architectures across all programs/plants, following the VOME & PTO specification.
* Ensure the identification and capture of lessons learned along with their application to new programs, as well as the impact to existing strategies and standards.
* Lead simultaneous engineering meetings with Tier I suppliers to orchestrate controls program reviews with all interested parties.
* Participate in management program reviews and represent the controls organization in commodity discussions.
* Drive the controls organization to resolve issues, including feasibility, timing, cost, and workload.
* Respond to emergency downtime events.
* Handle current scope program responsibilities.
* Deliver new model program work for various Powertrain programs supporting and working in either SE MI, Ohio, Kansas City, or Windsor, ONT.
* Travel up to 80% during peak program times for the next several years (Kansas City, Tennessee & Kentucky to name a few).
* Work off shift, as the need arises, during peak program install and launch times.
