Structural Engineer

JSG is recruiting a Structural Engineer Based in Dearborn, MI, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse commercial, non‑manufacturing structures across the United States. Pay $55/hour to $60/hour

• Review drawings for various commercial projects, evaluate design requests, and collaborate with Engineers of Record through all project phases.
• Independently analyze steel fabrication, foundation shop drawings—including deep foundations—and ensure structural integrity and compliance.
• Visit sites, vendors, and attend stakeholder meetings, contributing your expertise to ensure each project’s success.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or related engineering discipline
• 5-10 years of relevant structural engineering experience
• Proven ability to review and interpret shop drawings and construction documents
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, foundations, and deep foundations
• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work independently
• Comfortable traveling to project sites and vendor locations as needed

• Experience with commercial non‑manufacturing projects
• Familiarity with Ford’s engineering standards and processes
• Knowledge of deep foundation techniques and construction feasibility
• Certification such as Professional Engineer (PE) license
