You will also define, develop, and verify feature performance requirements, metrics, and targets, develop new verification and calibration test methods, and collaborate with feature, application, and research engineers to drive further improvements to your features.
ADAS Help Me Drive Calibration Engineer
What you'll do...
* Calibrate lateral/longitudinal performance of ADAS features across multiple programs and vehicle variants for features such as Lane Centering, Assisted Lane Change, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Blue Cruise
* Lead program sign-off of vehicle level performance for ADAS features
* Lead the development of objective performance metrics, calibration guidelines, test procedures, and validation plans for ADAS features such as Lane Centering, Assisted Lane Change, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Blue Cruise
* Work with virtual validation teams to establish CAE procedures to reduce dependence on vehicle-level testing
* Interface with functional partners in brakes, steering, and/or powertrain to ensure actuator performance is sufficient to meet vehicle-level requirements
* Plan and execute on-track and real-world evaluations of ADAS features via vehicle/HIL/virtual testing and identify and resolve feature performance issues
* Design validation methods to ensure feature robustness across vehicle configurations, environmental conditions and customer usage
* Develop pre/post processing tools using MATLAB and Vector CAN tools for data collection and analysis
* Implement various data analysis techniques on data generated by track, public road, lab, and model-based validation methods to ensure feature achieves a desired set of performance requirements
* Support and coordinate root-cause analysis with internal functions and external suppliers to ensure delivered system achieves performance requirements
* Benchmark competitors and monitor public domain requirements
