We are seeking a Mechanical Design & Release Engineer (DRE) to join our engineering team in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and releasing mechanical components for automotive applications while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality, cost, and timing objectives are achieved

• Design, develop, and release mechanical components and systems
• Manage component lifecycle from concept through production
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing, validation, and quality teams
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, CAD models, and BOMs
• Support prototype builds, testing, and issue resolution
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality, and regulatory requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical DRE or Mechanical Design Engineer in the automotive industry
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as CATIA, NX, or Creo
• Experience with product development, design validation, and release processes
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and project coordination skills

• Knowledge of DFMEA, GD&T, APQP, and PPAP
• Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcenter/WERS or similar)
