Responsibilities

Ford is seeking an experienced and technically strong Commodity Calibration Supervisor to lead a team responsible for the calibration development of the 2.5L xHEV powertrain control system and hybrid controller across multiple vehicle programs. This role will oversee the "commodity" calibration strategy — ensuring consistency, reusability, and scalability of calibration content across all vehicle lines utilizing the 2.5L hybrid powertrain, while balancing program-specific requirements, performance targets, emissions compliance, OBD, fuel economy, and drivability standards.

The successful candidate will manage a team of calibration engineers, coordinate cross-functionally with systems engineering, software, hardware, and vehicle program teams, and serve as the technical and people leader driving on-time, high-quality calibration releases.

What you'll do...

Supervise and mentor a team of calibration engineers responsible for 2.5L xHEV commodity calibration development, including engine and hybrid controls. Own the commodity calibration strategy — defining a common calibration base/content that can be efficiently leveraged and tailored across multiple vehicle programs and model years. Drive calibration development, validation, and sign-off in accordance with program timing and milestones. Ensure calibrations meet performance, drivability, fuel economy/CO2, tailpipe and evap emissions (EPA/CARB/EU), NVH, and OBD requirements.

Collaborate with Core/Systems Engineering, Software, Controls, Hardware, Test & Validation, and Vehicle Program teams to resolve technical issues and align calibration deliverables. Manage calibration DVP&R (Design Verification Plan and Report), test schedules, vehicle test requests, and data analysis workflows. Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for calibration-related warranty, quality, and field issues. Support cost, complexity reduction, and part-count reduction efforts through commodity/shared calibration strategies.

Manage team resource planning, workload balancing, performance reviews, and career development for direct reports. Present calibration status, risks, and technical reviews to senior engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Ensure compliance with Ford engineering standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements. Support global calibration strategy alignment where applicable (e.g., North America, China, Europe). Transform calibration deliverables. Create efficiencies and tools.

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $132,800-$250,800.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
