Test Engineer, Quality Engineering
Seeking an experienced Automotive Lab Technician with a strong background in vehicle, engine, powertrain, fuel system, emissions, and component testing. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience operating and troubleshooting test equipment, data acquisition systems, emissions analyzers, flow meters, and dynamometer test cells. This role requires the ability to diagnose test setup issues, collect and interpret test data, and provide technical support to engineering teams.
Experience with AVL dynamo meters, Siemens LMS Test Lab, MTS Flextest, engine controls and diagnostic software (ATI, ETAS/INCA, CANalyzer, PTDiag), as well as metal or composite fabrication, is highly preferred. Candidates should possess at least 3 years of automotive industry experience, 4 years of testing experience, and a solid mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or fabrication background. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed is required.
- Experience operating or calibrating emissions analyzers, flow meters, or tensile test machines.
- Experience with in-cylinder pressure measurement and combustion analyzers.
- Experience with Siemens LMS Test Lab or MTS Flextest.
- Experience with fabrication of metals or composite materials.
- Good knowledge of test procedures, equipment, and data acquisition systems used in testing vehicles, engines, fuels systems, emissions, components, or material properties.
- Good ability to diagnose issues with complete test setup.
- Ability to interpret collected data to support Engineers.
- 3+ years experience in an automotive environment.
- 1+ year mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, or fabrication experience in a testing environment.
- 4 years experience testing vehicles, products, powertrains, engines, fuel systems, emissions, chassis components, or material properties.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, and software used in automotive testing environments.
- Strong knowledge of test procedures, equipment, and data acquisition systems used in testing
- vehicles, engines, fuels systems, emissions, components, or material properties.
- Strong ability to diagnose issues with complete test setup.
- Good ability to interpret collected data and provide supporting feedback to Engineers.
- Good metal or composite fabrication skills.
- Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends.
- Operate AVL dynamo meters using Puma controls and software.
- Operate engine and transmission control and diagnostic software including ATI, ETAS/INCA, ADAC, CANalyzer, PTDiag, etc.
