We are looking for a talented Test Engineer II, who will be responsible for validating and testing client components and systems to aid in the development of a high-quality process that meets Customer needs. You will support Customer jobs including special vehicle tests, durability, NVH, performance, fleet tests, extreme environment conditions, etc.
Main Responsibilities:- Technical responsibility for organizing and executing Customer jobs.
- Analyze test results and provide engineering reports that meet Customer specifications.
- Read and understand test specifications for vehicle testing projects.
- Monitor tests in progress to ensure they are running to specification parameters.
- Analyze technical matters in the test engineering field to provide solutions to internal Customers.
- Use equipment instrumentation for set up and calibration.
- Use a Windows based computer system to access relevant test procedures and quality system documents, enter measurement data, store, and retrieve files from the network, etc.
- Interaction with Customer to obtain test objectives, testing parameters to provide test results.
- Work with the staff to ensure quality testing.
- Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
- All other related duties as assigned.
- Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related Associate’s Degree with 3 years relevant work experience in an automotive engineering laboratory; equivalent related work experience also acceptable in lieu of education.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in an automotive engineering laboratory.
- High School Diploma.
- Familiarity with model 4000 modules (analog, temp, pulse, NVH) preferred.
- Understanding of vehicle braking systems preferred.
- Understanding of load configuration including center of gravity, GAWR’s, GCVM preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
- Proven knowledge of test engineering, including methods, equipment, reporting and analysis.
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a Team environment.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong independent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to walk.
- Ability to speak verbally and read in English.
- Ability to see with corrective lenses.
- Ability to hear.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Ableto work overtime, evenings and/orweekendsasrequired.
- Able to travel up to 10% domestically.
